It works on the principle of a spring, the harder we stretch it in the concentric phase of muscle contraction, the harder it will pull us towards the ground. We resist the force pulling us downwards and in this way train the eccentric phase.<\/p>\n<p>The device also has two strain gauge panels to <strong>monitor power, force and the ratio between the left and right sides<\/strong>. All this data is displayed on the screen at the same time as the workout. This allows us to monitor the training at the moment, giving us an additional incentive and the possibility to correct the performance of the exercise.<\/p>\n<p>Each movement consists of a concentric phase (from squat to standing, walking uphill, etc.) and an eccentric phase (from standing to squat, walking downhill, etc.). A movement that is usually performed on free weights will have a maximum load at one point\/angle, but not at other angles.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the training is done with free weights and on treadmills. In the Vitalis Centre, you can also train on an isoineration machine, which is performed on a flywheel (Desmotec). In isoinertial training, the load is the same at all points\/corners.
