Laura Karamatič has been a keen all-round athlete since she was a little girl. A graduate and every now and then a Master’s degree holder in Sport Education, she is finishing her studies at the Faculty of Sport in Ljubljana. She has a brother almost the same age, with whom she had to compete in every sport discipline. This is how she developed her sporting spirit, perseverance and consistency. She took her first steps in sport at the athletics stadium, where she trained athletics for 17 years.

She is also a swimming and ski instructor, passing on her knowledge to the younger generation and occasionally to older people, both at home and abroad.

People usually ask her what the recipe is for a permanently smiling face. She is a very energetic, positive, kind-hearted and compassionate person, which she says is the key to working successfully with people.

She is happiest when she can do something good for someone else, combining enjoyable work with something useful.
